Buckeye Catholic is a national leading newman center, proudly serving at The Ohio State University and serving both Catholic and non Catholic students.

Objective

Despite its growing impact, Buckeye Catholic lacked a brand identity to match its momentum. A newman center with a bold vision, to become the leading evangelization force on campus, it was navigating a quiet but real tension: how do you present an organization whose depth of mission far outpaces its visual presence?

Challenge

Buckeye Catholic had outgrown its brand. As the community expanded, its visual identity struggled to keep pace, leaving it without the symbolism or cohesion needed to make a lasting impression. The result was a presence that felt stale, sterile, and uninviting.

Result

After several rounds of iteration, we arrived at a logo that didn't just perform well, it stood apart.

The design direction drew inspiration from elements of the altar inside the Newman Center, grounding the identity in something more intentional: Jesus as the center of their mission.
